Hi my name is Jerelyn. I received an invitation through email from the CYLC organization ( Congressional Youth Leadership Council) to take part in the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. That means I would be able to see the 44th President and Vice President take the Oath of Office and Inaugural Address. I would also attend some Inaugural Conference Debates, take part in educational activities and attend the Black Tie Gala Inaugural Ball. The only thing is, the cost of the whole trip is $2,380.00, which is a lot of money. My mom suggested that I could have a blog to raise money, and tah-dah, here it is. My mom, the CEO and founder of Creative Concepts, helped me create it. I am extremely excited to have the chance to go to the Presidential Youth Inaugural Conference. The part I am looking forward to the most is seeing the President sworn into office. Whoever that person will be, they make history as being the first of something (first African-American, first woman, oldest president). To see part of history, and in a small way, to be a part of it is very overwhelming and I can’t wait.
